Greetings everyone, Micah here. As many listeners and readers of The Gralien Report are aware, I have recently launched a new podcast (available on iTunes) called Middle Theory. The site for this program is www.middletheory.com, and much like the Gralien Report, there is a live broadcast of the show Tuesdays at 11 AM ET, including a live chatroom where listeners can participate in the conversation, which can be accessed by clicking here.

The show also features co-host Christopher McCollum (otherwise known as McNonymous), host of the Yanks Abroad soccer program, as well as a long time correspondent to The Gralien Report and favorite among Gralien listeners. From the photograph above, you can probably tell that McNonymous and I are very serious about what we do.

There are a number of reasons why we think you’ll like Middle Theory, and of course, why we think it will not only round out the programming we here at Gralien International are constantly working to provide, but also will be of benefit to Gralien listeners.

In the past, when “big news” happens, we have sought to provide that content through The Gralien Report and, of course, the live show/podcast. However, many listeners have preferred that The Gralien Report remain true to its origins, and feature content that focuses on the esoteric and unexplained, though approached from an open-minded, but moderately skeptical standpoint, as we have come to do over time. The addition of The Micah Hanks Program has helped to buffer somewhat between the newsy content and the esoteric “Gralien-worthy” material. However, some listeners have expressed the desire to be able to access an iTunes-ready podcast of this program (and in the future, this may indeed be made available, thanks to the hard work by our friends at the Global Radio Alliance, the official home of The Micah Hanks Program).

With the inclusion of Middle Theory in our weekly roundup of programming, the name says it all: we find a happy medium between Gralien and MHP subject matter, and additionally, the podcast is made available through iTunes. In fact, this program, which seeks to highlight the true “podcast” elements even more than our other two programs, is also commercial free. Our model, however, is that rather than adding commercial content, for this program we ask that listeners consider making a donation to the program if they find the content of value to them. This not only allows us to continue offering the content we provide, but to provide more of it at low cost, based on the generosity and support of our listeners. The first two editions of the program are already available for download on iTunes, and via the link below you can synch with the iTunes page for the Middle Theory program.

For those who would prefer to hear more content featuring the unexplained on The Gralien Report, now you’ll get it. Conversely, for those who enjoy hearing about current events, politics, and even conspiracies and hidden aspects of the everyday, you’ll now get more of that with Middle Theory. And of course, for the full-on live radio experience, you can always tune in (or even call in) to The Micah Hanks Program Sunday nights, along with options for participation that include the live KGRA chat room.

If you have questions, comments, ideas, or other queries, as always we invite you to email us… and of course, thanks for listening.
