Since Nick Redfern’s new book, Contactees, is just being released, I thought it would be a good idea to take an introspective look at one of the more unique modern contactees, Riley Martin. Here, in an excerpt from the DVD Space Odyssey 2007, Martin is featured at home cooking pinto beans in a pressure cooker (this recipe may have arrived just in time for Thanksgiving):

Martin has claimed to be an alien abductee for more than 40 years, saying he was first abducted at age seven by an alien named “Tan.” His experiences detail a variety of different races of aliens, including “Biavians,” which he says have been mingling with humanity for 40,000 years. He has often been ridiculed by celebrities including Jerry Springer, David Letterman, and Howard Stern (who did find his claims amusing enough to allow Martin radio time on Sirius Satellite Radio for his own program, The Riley Martin Show). Below is one of Riley’s many television appearances, where he discusses his experiences in depth. Are his claims legit, and has he actually made contact with alien beings from other worlds over the course of his lifetime, or is his colorful character and intellect–which he says was given to him by the visitors–actually what paints this unique experience as what he perceives to be the alternate “reality” he speaks of?
