This week on The Gralien Report, we begin our survey of the news by looking at a big announcement from NASA about its future Mars exploration… meanwhile, Bill Nye has retorted that we aren’t going to Mars, and that people who disagree with him “are just wrong.” Micah then takes a moment to look at how personality types may be an indicator of hard-lined skepticism (or belief, for that matter). We also look at a new bizarre life form discovered in Canada, and the controversial discovery of what may be an impact feature beneath the ice of Greenland by an international team of scientists.

Then in hour two, we get an Oumuamua update, where we hear about further discoveries with our solar system’s first interstellar visitor… and the odd discoveries researchers are making in relation to it are causing more and more of us to ask, “what if?” Then we turn our attention to the odd history of UFO cults, and how such groups have adopted discoveries in the past that were similar to Oumuamua and made dangerous belief systems around them–namely Heaven’s Gate. After exploring the history and general features of such UFO cults, we then turn our attention to one of the oddest cases from the case files of UFO research: the strange deaths of two men in Brazil in the 1960s, in an area which some researchers believe could have had to do with recent UFO sightings. However, was this incident evidence of a “UFO cult”, or was there something else going on? Occasionally, we do hear stories from time to time that are so strange that we can’t really make heads or tails of them (nor can some of the better skeptics to have looked at them). Indeed, this would be one of those occasions.
