This week on The Gralien Report, we begin our look at this week’s unusual news with reporting on the fascinating discovery of an ancient Viking sword by a young girl, which nearly mirrors a famous aspect of Arthurian legend. There was also an unusual incident that occurred recently in Arkansas, where flames mysteriously leaped from the earth. What do geologists have to say about it?

Then later in the program, and on the subject of “geologica esoterica,” we are joined by James Waldo, a professional geologist and associate of Micah’s in the Seven Ages Research Associates. James has a long history of interest in the unexplained and applies a scientific mind toward his interest in peculiar geological “anomalies” of nature. We look at a few over the course of our discussion, which includes the famous Devil’s Tower in Wyoming, and its similarity to places associated with legends of “giants” in Ireland and other parts of the world. We also get James’ take on things like “out of place artifacts” and other unusual themes pertaining to the earth sciences.
