Another week’s edition of The Gralien Report Podcast has arrived, and with it, we celebrate the end of an era, with the final launch of the space shuttle Atlantis. Other topics featured this week include the mysterious “Bloop” noise recorded by NOAA back in the 1990s, ways you can help Earth’s ecology by eating invasive species, the mating rituals of parasites and the question of whether human sexuality has finally become old-hat. Also, digging through the archives, we managed to find a fascinating (and strangely timely) interview with Artificial Intelligence expert Ben Goertzel PhD, which we feature during the third hour of the show. All these strange insights and even more await you, oh listener of all things esoteric… enjoy!

Also, below we’ve included various media associated with this week’s program:

First, a photo of an alleged “cryptid moth” (well, not really) after it landed on Micah’s pinkie finger:

And of course, beautiful footage of Space Shuttle Atlantis in it’s final orbital ballet, docking with the ISS:

  1. Oooh show notes! misa likey 🙂

Great show Micah, Chris and Matt (hey, I finally learned the names of the Gralien Trio!). I was kinda hoping when you touched the subject of the space shuttle retirement, that you delved a little into speculations re. America’s alleged ‘secret’ space program; maybe there are no reverse-engineered flying saucers stored at Area 51, but it wouldn’t surprise me if the Pentagon had some sort of suborbital plane already operational.

Re. your comments about younger generations not being able to communicate face to face, and people giving up sexuality in favor of online interactions, it seems to me

  2. Engineer Matt reporting. Thanks for the comment RPJ, and thank God someone other than Micah has learned our names. I also saw the stories regarding the recent incident with Mr. Dawkins. Though I am not the biggest fan of his, I thought the “PC Police” as you so elequently put it, grossly over-reacted. In this instance, Dawkins was nowhere near over the line. But this is only the humble opinion of the paranormal community’s favorite engineer.

  3. Looking in retrospect I tend to agree with you, Matt. But the crux of the matter is this: that Dawkins was just acting like his usual blunt & vitriolic self, only *this* time his angry mouth was not aiming at one of his regular ‘permitted’ targets
